Parenting with the brain in mind.
Parenting with the brain in mind.
I received my bachelor's degree in English Literature and went on to receive my M.Ed. in Parent and Family Education with a special focus on Neuroscience. I am a trainer for Better Brains for Babies and have been a Licensed Parent Educator for Minneapolis Public Schools since 2012.
I am a member of several professional organizations across the country. Each year, I attend a variety of workshops, webinars and conferences to immerse myself in the latest research on neuroscience, child development and the impact of media and technology on our children, in order to better support the parents I work with.
When I'm not teaching or giving workshops, I enjoy time with my family, practicing yoga, biking, reading and walking our dog, Rocket.
We offer interactive presentations on Brain Development, Setting Limits, Media and Technology, Talking With Children About Race, Building Resilience, School Readiness and more!
Have a Family Educator meet with parents in your organization over the lunch hour on a weekly or monthly basis to discuss all aspects of the parenting journey from prenatal education to classes for parents of teens.
Schedule a private session to dive deeper into areas of parenting you would like more information or support around.
I understand that each parent's situation and needs are unique to them. Tell me more about what you're looking for, and I will get back to you soon with some ideas.
